Garrett started playing guitar and writing songs throughout high school and college. He first debuted with his family band in 2010. Later, while in college, he formed Garrett Johns & the Red Dirt Renegades and played the Stillwater music scene. Taking a break from music for a few years, a group of musicians came together in 2017 and formed the Stillwater-focused group now known as 51 Junction.
Logan first starting playing bass in high school, then picked up the guitar and drums along the way. Logan’s specialty is a groove bass style that forms the foundation of the groups electric sound. Logan also dabbles with the Bluegrass sound of an acoustic upright bass. He is most influenced by the playing of Jeremy Plato of Cody Canada and the Departed.
Nick has lived in Stillwater all of his life and has been playing, restoring, building, and modifying stringed instruments since 2010. He has been playing fiddle since he was six years old and learned mandolin and banjo as a teenager. Nick is currently an instrument technician at Daddy O’s music in Stillwater.
Greg began playing guitar at the age of twelve and was involved in orchestra throughout high school. During his orchestra experience, he enjoyed performing on his cello. Greg is currently attending college at OSU-Okmulgee and working for Warren CAT in Oklahoma City.
Levi grew up in the small town of Perry, OK. He has an nontraditional start to red dirt music. He began his musical career as a heavy metal drummer but quickly transitioned to red dirt country, which welcomed him to a new realm within the music industry. He is highly influenced by the techniques of drummers in all genres, which helps 51 Junction create a unique red dirt sound.
